Eager to stimulate visitor numbers and promote Jordan as a destination, general manager, The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana, Amman, Raed Rabie speaks to Panayiotis Markides about trends, all that is happening to develop the destination’s tourism offering and the hotel’s news.
TTG: What trends have you witnessed amongst travellers travelling to Jordan, and how are you making the most of these trends?
Recently, Jordan has witnessed a number of diverse travel trends; the country has seen an increase in the number of GCC leisure and business travellers due to the country’s stability and business diversity. Jordan is also becoming a hub for international organisations that are here to support the region.
The Boulevard Arjaan offers comfortable accommodation for a large variety of visitors, including long-stay guests, offering unique services that allow travellers to feel at home. The area where the hotel is located, Abdali, is the new hub in Amman, offering a variety of shopping destinations such as The Boulevard’s elite shops, cafés and the Abdali Mall, which makes it an all-in-one experience for travellers.
TTG: What developments are underway to improve Jordan’s tourism sector?
The Jordan Tourism Board, in partnership with the private sector, is focusing on the market’s well-established potential in order to sustain the current businesses while simultaneously creating channels in new markets through direct commercial visits and promotion plans.
Jordan’s aviation industry is also witnessing rapid developments, with a variety of new air routes opening up, allowing previously untapped markets to benefit from Jordan’s wealth of tourism experiences.
This is in addition to the remarkable flexibility offered by charter operations to resort destinations and touristic sites. All of these result in vital contributions to the country’s development in general and for The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana as a well-known and established hotel chain in specific. They create excellent opportunities for us to showcase our exceptional services and our competitive prices.
TTG: How is Jordan successfully overcoming any obstacles its tourism industry may be facing?
Again, the Jordan Tourism Board, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, is marketing integrated promotional offers internationally to attract travellers through various media channels and platforms. At The Boulevard Arjaan by Rotana, we work closely with international operators, offering a variety of attractive packages throughout the year, highlighting festive seasons and activities. We are also available through Rotana’s wide general sales offices worldwide, helping facilitate bookings and travel plans for everyone.
